“Gloves!” wrote commenter Melsybelsy. “My leather gloves aren’t warm enough even though they are lined in cashmere – I want practicality and warmth. Much like your cute hat post, a cute warm glove post would be great!” Pleased to oblige, Mels. Let’s start out with this cute striped touchscreen pair. I love the orange and army green together.
These look mighty toasty, and while they also come in subdued black, I’m kind of delighted by them in this super-hot pink.
A layered pair that’s quite elegant.
A classic cashmere pair that comes in quite a few other colors; here it is in a pop-top iteration.
The ribbing here is so pleasingly graphic.
Fair Isle mittens that look hand-knit.
This leather zip-top pair would be ideal for frigid morning dog walks, and I think they’re pretty great-looking too.
This Missoni pair is pricey but absolutely divine; here’s something similar but cheaper.
These faux fur specimens are as cute as they are toasty; they’re also fun in this bright blue.
Such a bright and happy color combination on this pop top pair.
These adorable mittens are from British knitwear designer Jo Gordon, who is a favorite of mine.
I ski and skate ski, sometimes in single digit temperatures. My fingers are so sensitive to the cold that I invested in a pricey pair of battery-heated mittens a few years ago. These Patagonia mittens are more flexible and just as warm:

They’re like having a down jacket on your hands. Inside the mittens I add Hotties hand warmers, available on Amazon and at Costco. They stay hot for hours.

p.s. I LOVE winter.
Those zip top mittens are brilliant! I need super warm gloves/mittens about one week of the year in this part of Texas, but, to me, that defines luxury––when you have the means to afford something you may not need often, but makes life so much easier when you have it. Even if it’s just for a week.
Those are all great. I got a pair of down filled mittens in bright cobalt blue in Quebec at Christmastime, and they are toasty! Of course we haven’t needed anything that warm since then…
Just ordered a pair of fingerless gloves from Jo Gordon. Thank you.
I echo the commenter from last week: j’adore Week of Requests. Surprise and delight every day. Thank you, Kim!
Thanks Kim!! I feel so seen! I bookmarked the Carolina Amato’s – so chic and seemingly warm. I too have glove liners and hand warmers – but may also need to go for the big puffy down Ugg ones.
Patagonia. Their liner gloves are slim, wash well, and often come in cute colors.
Love my EVOLGs! They come in so many great color combos.
