Anine Bing is an L.A.-based brand that’s been on my radar for a while now. They make what I’d call fashiony classics—sophisticated, well-cut, youthful-but-still-appropriate pieces. This silk dress is such a good grown-up take on a hippie-girl frock. Here is a top with the same cute print.
This sheer-sleeved blouse is sexy in a very appealing, restrained way.
This schoolboy blazer comes in a few colors, but I like this bright, poppy red.
A very sweet star-print top that I’d wear with black jeans.
This shirt is so totally right out my playbook. I actually really like the way it’s styled here (though I’d tuck it) with the black bra peeking out.
LOVETH the Annie Bling…especially the red blazer…I bought one this spring and have been rethinking the brightness…Your endorsement made mine not so bright and I am ready to put it on today with a graphic tee and jeans…smile…
I love that dress. Looked at the description and the model is 5’9″ and wearing an extra small. At 5’2″ that hemline would be pooling on the floor! Made laugh out loud.
Seriously! This demi- and maxi-length trend is driving me nuts. Trying to find something I’d wear that can be hemmed without screwing up the design is harder than you’d think.
c.w., Good thing I scanned the comments before saying exactly the same thing (down to the inch)!
That star top is SUPER cute!
I’m in love. I’ve driven past the store on 3rd street and admired the window…now I’m going in!
I’ve never understood the appeal of a black bra under a sheer white shirt.
Not related to the clothes here (though I really like that blazer!!), but! I am loving this recent trend of models smiling, like in that first pic. It’s so refreshing to not see a super serious blank-eyed runway face (or worse, a headless body – I blame Totokaelo for that one).
I think Anine Bing’s clothes are really cute, and I’ve had my eye on her red sweater/sweatshirt. But at my height and large frame (I know, but it’s the way my niece used to describe her fat cat!), I’d look like a Mom playing dress-up in her kid’s clothes. 🙁
I LOVE her personal style with hair and makeup, though, and I think it’s pretty easy to adapt ideas to fit my style!
My height challenged self always sez I look like a kid trying to wear her mom’s clothes!
So funny how we perceive ourselves.
(you’d look smashing in that dress partly because you have the height to carry off that hem!)
I love her stuff! It bit pricey though…
I got the star blouse a few weeks ago, and already own the Madeline blazer and a pair of jeans. It’s exactly how I like to dress, simple, good basics with a little edge. And not many people know her where I live, so I feel pretty unique. Their online service is excellent by the way.
