I don’t have a big trip planned for any time soon, but I’m always looking for cute cosmetic bags, and this Liberty print is new (to me) and very much to my liking.
This Longchamp bag comes in a lot of colors, but I like this elegant navy.
The moon and stars here are quite charming.
I’m always a sucker for a good geometric print.
And finally: I’m certain this waxed canvas number from L.L. Bean is meant for the guys, but if I were going on a serious trip, I’d choose it, because it folds out and hangs, and has multitudinous compartments for all your various stuff.
My favorite ones are from Cath Kidston, the ones with the plastic interior. Even the tightest-sealed bottles and jars can leak from the air pressure changes, from luggage not being upright in the plane, or from rough handling, and the wipe-able interiors make cleanup that much easier. They come in such cute prints, too.
all cute…but only the madewell is TSA approved…and for this traveler that’s the most important thing for a travel cosmetic bag
Don’t you find that the size of the toiletry is the most important thing? There is so much discrepancy between airports and across countries…
TSA Pre-check is awesome, and pretty easy to get.
LOL I just got the LL Bean one for my partner, to replace the ancient and ripped one he was using. He’s adjusting to it.
I love a good cosmetic bag––it’s that cheap thrill when you need a treat and don’t have major ducats at the ready. At the moment I NEED the “moon and stars!”
Side note: The dog rescue group I’m always talking about––Badass Brooklyn Rescue––name their adoptees after famous folks. At the moment they’re using fashion designer names and there is an Isabel Marant currently available!
That’s hilarious.
The LL Bean bag reminds me of something Indiana Jones would carry. When I was a kid I wanted to be Indiana Jones.
Serious travelers might note that L.L. Bean looks great, probably works well but would be way too heavy unless you were on a road trip . So many better options out there These days.
