Top 5 of the week: attractive T-shirt bras

17

The same thing that makes T-shirt bras good at their jobs also makes them not very pretty: All of the lace and other bits of frippery that make bras appealing make them lumpy and bumpy when worn under a tee. Mostly they’re very boring specimens, and that’s what I usually go for. But since we have just embarked on T-shirt bra season, I thought I’d go searching for exceptions, and the best one I found was  this sexy plunge bra.

This number is from Thirdlove, a newish brand about which some people rave, and it’s pretty minimal, but I think the striped stitching detail is very chic and modern.

If it’s tough to find an attractive T-shirt bra, it’s doubly hard to find one that’s (my) flesh-colored. But the lace here is very pretty.

The mesh bits on this Chantelle bra are rather alluring.

This is just rather vampish, but in a nice, subdued way.

Thank you!!! Both Chantelle & Journelle are tried & true bras for those of us with large cup sizes!

The bras are beautiful. Have we discussed how odd it is to have comments at the top of the articles?

It is so hard to find a nice t-shirt bra! I used to be loyal to Betsey Johnson bras, which fit me perfectly. Unfortunately, they seem to have discontinued making bras…

Have you tried looking for them on Poshmark or other resale sites?

Great idea! I actually bought a few off of Amazon when I realised that Nordstrom was no longer carrying them…. will check Poshmark. Thank you!

I love Third Love but they wear out a lot faster than my Chantelle bras. They are about half the price so I am guessing maybe there’s some price quality correlation. to

I appreciate you including a wireless option. I’m a 34A and I gave up underwire about ten years ago. Psst…I actually bought some attractive wire free bras from Target’s new Auden line and have been perfectly satisfied, but can’t speak to support/comfort for the larger busted ladies.

Saluting fellow Tiny Titty Committee Member! I used to have a lot of luck w/ Calvin Klein and Cosabella.

I loved DKNY Fusion Wirefree, but it looks like they stopped making them. Last time I purchased, I scooped up a bunch on clearance.

The first bra is not unlike the one Nairobi wears beneath her jumpsuit in La Casa de Papel, aka Money Heist, on Netflix. Ok, weird, I know. But this IS post about bras. And I’ve been trying to find a bra like hers since binge watching the show. Fantastic show and fantastic bra.

Of the instagram-advertised bras, I’ve ordered a few from Lively and like their fit (and the price is pretty reasonable), but one that I especially liked fell apart in under a year.

I love Lively! I think I did have one fall apart within a couple of years, but the others are going strong. They’re so cute and not expensive!

I love the 1st one, by Journelle, but it comes in limited sizes. Damn! Good bras are hard to find (at a reasonable price) The one by Chantelle fits the bill (boobs) tho!
