I don’t typically go in for footwear in primary colors, but I fell hard for these green Rachel Comey clogs, and acquired them even though they cost more than clogs should cost. They give excellent height, and will look as cute with dresses as with jeans. (Also, if you’re interested, here is an amusing and informative story on clogs in which I am quoted a few times.)
My new Zero+ Maria Cornejo cardigan—in such a good tomato red—is in deeply heavy rotation.
I’ve been looking for a pointy-toe bootie with something higher than a kitten heel, but still on the low side, and these seem to fit my specs perfectly.
I own too many totes, so I likely won’t be purchasing this leopard print one, but I really want it.
I don’t own any fanny packs, on the other hand, and I really like this one, because the nubby texture is aces, and I always love blue and black together. I think I might wear it cross-body, as I’m still not convinced I’m cool enough to pull off a fanny pack.
This clog sandal is from Dansko, which is not a brand I usually go for for, but apparently they’re super-comfortable, and I saw a woman wearing them the other day and they came off really sexy. I think the reason is that they look higher than they are.
I feel compelled, in the spirit of accuracy, to point out that hunter green is not a primary color. Not even a secondary or tertiary color either. But still, I get what you were saying about your usual color choices for footwear. And yes, those clogs are terrific!
They’re actually more of a kelly green in real life.
I just bought a lovely kilted slingback pair of Bryr clogs AND the most divine shade of green Sandgrens clogs that are closed back with a side cut out. Clogs forever. Also I can attest to the fact that those Dansko clogs are THE most comfortable thing you will ever wear. Their clog booties are also fabulous.
YES!!!
Clogs FOREVER!
I love the look and I’ve heard great stuff about the comfort of Dansko, but…even for us “foot trouble” people?!?
I purchased my Dansko clog sandals about 10 years ago specifically because of foot trouble. I had debilitating plantar fasciitis in both feet (elementary school teacher), and was getting ready to go on a beach vacation. I tried SO MANY summer-appropriate shoes, and the Danskos were the only ones that worked.
Woa!you had me at Dansko. Their clogs are ridiculously comfortable but not so fashion forward. I will be trying those sandals.
just an FYI, the clog (which is fabulous) is $149.95 at Nordstrom in two colors. At Zappos it’s $134.99 in four colors.
even better…just bought them on Amazon for $108.89. Now let’s hope the weather holds so I can get them on my feet!
Those booties are perfect…
I just ordered the Everlane flats in pink. My first Everlane purchase!
This is the first time I have ever thought/typed this – but that is a very cool fanny pack. Probably going to get those Danskos , they are always super comfy
I have been coveting those Rachel Comeys forever, ugh. That green and the perforation are just too good.
PS, this is probably just me, and clogs are life and all that, but I sort of feel like Mechling needs to take some deep breaths.
Leaving for a tropical trip today and wish I had that Zimmerman tote!!!
Love those booties and the Danskos.
Clogs forever! My first pair of clogs were purchased at Canel Jeans in the early 1980s. They were black. And at the time, relatively inexpensive black shoes were very hard to find. They weren’t too high but had a nice clunky feel. I think about those shoes often.
Oh I miss Canal Jeans! They were just the best – I miss a lot of my purchases from them.
*And this is why we need time travel
The fact that fanny packs are considered a must-have (and at $1100+ for designer versions, i.e., Gucci)really bums me out. Unless you’re running, I just don’t get it.
I have these Halogen booties in two colors…a lovely boot that’s very walkable!

Clogs, like certain Birkenstocks and certain Dr. Scholls are life necessities.
Even though it was 87 degrees here today, I want that red sweater. Outstanding!!
I adore the red sweater! However, are there any cheaper options?
Feel like i MUST praise the virtue of the fanny pack. Got an Army green one from Herschel, wear it cross-body style…and it is the BEST! Looks understatedly cool (and i am over 45), and it carries the perfect amount of hands-free stuff for running around. All you “pack” haters are missing out!
That’s so funny – I have been obsessed with Aidy Bryant’s green Rachel Comey clogs on Shrill and who should pop up but Kim France Pance! Ha!
