I have wanted this Acne Studios mohair cardigan for so long now—they bring a version of it back every fall, and every fall I swoon. It just seems like the ideal of its category, and given my recent sweater apocalypse at the hands of some very sassy moths, now I’m wondering, is this the year I go for it?
These cute striped jammies give off a very summery vibe for November, but I crave them nevertheless. Especially tempting because Kule is doing one of those the-more-you-spend-the-more-you-save deals. Just enter KULEYULE at checkout.
I am not typically a fan of the turtleneck—I have a maybe irrational belief that I look better in tops and sweaters that show my collarbone—but this one (also from Kule), looks excellently comfy, and comes in a ton of fantastic stripe combinations.
My ancient L.L. Bean plaid flannel robe finally died last week, and I’m looking for a fun replacement, and this one from Dusen Dusen is just so damned happy. It also goes with these towels, some of which my mom gifted me a while back.
Like the above Acne Studios sweater, I have wanted a pair of Nili Lotan’s wool Paris pants for a while now, and am wondering if this is the season.
A cute faux shearling jacket that looks a lot like the real thing.
I should really have saved this sequin sweater for my upcoming annual Party in a Top post, but it’s already selling out in some sizes, so I decided it was better not to delay.
A very nearly perfect cashmere blend ribbed cardigan in a very good navy blue.
I clicked over to the Liberty of London site the other day for the first time in a while and found a ton of button-downs with amazing prints, starting with this bright floral, which would be such a fun and unexpected thing to layer under a sweater in the dead of winter.
I find mohair super warm so a great choice for winter. I have a couple of Kule tees and they are excellent–really well made and so comfortable. Love this post––so many eclectic options––like that fantastic-colors-to-wake-you-up-in-the-morning ROBE!!
You can always wear leggings under the pajamas. As for the robe, if you only use robes after bathing, I could see the terry for winter. (Somehow I can’t lounge well in heavy terry.) When it’s cold out, I find a plaid flannel robe is ideal for lounging in. … … … … I too like the look of mohair, especially in a happy color. Same with sequins. Liberty is generally a “yes.” I still don’t get the drop crotch thing but you might as well get those pants, i think. … … … The Sezanne cardigan I like a lot. (I can’t see the color choices, maybe bc of my vpn.)
The moths robbed you; Hence, restitution is warranted. Oh. And PSA Jenni Kayne just put out a CROPPED cocoon which is currently
Waiting for me in my building’s package room….and now you’ve got me longing for those wool Paris pants….again…I resisted last year. Will I keep my resolve
This year??? Only time will tell….
If you do decide to get the (whoa, rather pricey) Acne cardigan, go for the violet one! After a while black is too harsh and frankly too boring. Life is too short for playing it safe with fashion and color choices.
Wow, thanks, I’d missed the purple. Uh oh, now I kinda want it too … luckily I have a v short fashion attention span… the beige is good too but change those buttons!
Aaugh, I can’t unsee the Acne mohair and I can’t afford it! So you will just have to take a bullet for the rest of us, Kim…..:)
Oh get the sweater and the pants. Do it for me who cannot wear Mohair! Congratulations on your engagement.
I saw that Acne cardigan at the top and thought “I have wanted that thing forever” and lo and behold, SO HAVE YOU. We should both get it. I’m headed to Paris next week and, with the value of the Euro vs dollar, and the new Acne store there, the stars may be aligning. Congratulations on your engagement! I just got married a few months ago, at 46, and it was pretty great. xo
AllSaints purchased – thank you!
Size warning – runs small in my opinion!
On a whim, I bought a pair of drop crotch jeans (Citizens of Humanity Pony) and I can’t believe how much I love them. I feel cool and modern – I mean, I LOVE them! But drop- crotch also means drop-butt. (Hubs thinks it’s a waste of all my squats and lunges.) I would buy these Nili Lotan’s in a heartbeat if they showed the backside (and were half that price). Please buy them and share a pic!!
I have 3 pairs of cotton Paris pants and they are a bit saggy in the back but I don’t care because I love them. I JUST this week got the wool Paris pants and they are more structured in the back (won’t share a pic, it wouldn’t really show since they are black). They also fit tighter than the cotton ones (if you get the same size) so they just generally look more fitted, cleaner, and professional. I love them, definitely an investment piece worth buying!
Bought the AllSaints sequin top. Love it. Holiday party here I come!
I was salivating over the acne cardigan and then i saw the PURPLE and now I am DEAD. omg. (I do like purple more than most people.)
I came back to life to pore over the Liberty shirts for my Liberty-loving spouse’s upcoming birthday (and I too had forgotten to look at Liberty for a while)…one of the patterns is William Morris’s “strawberry thief,” which plays a key role in the gorgeous Gabrielle Zevin novel Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, which he and I both read. SO HMMMM.
Hey, this is good news about microplastics: https://engineering.princeton.edu/news/2022/11/03/researchers-cook-new-way-remove-microplastics-water
So my one hesitation about the Acne cardi is that I ordered one and had to return it because it was super scratchy.
Exquisite choices, as always. And a huge heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS!!!! So so happy for you
Thanks Elle!
YES, you should pull the trigger on the Acne cardigan. It’s gorgeous, Kim.
As always, your taste and selection are amazing.
Can’t wait for your party in a top post. The sequin sweater is worthy of a party in a sweater post. 🙂
