I’ve got a pretty random assortment of items for you today, starting with these army green pants from J. Crew, which are soft and slouchy and kind of ideal.
A new caftan from Emerson Fry is always cause for celebration, and this pink print is so happy and poppy and fun.
Also from Emnerson Fry: this sweet hippie girl top in a really rich purple—not a color I typically love, but it’s so good here.
A leopard print jacket that’s great for the cool nights we’re still having.
I like the slight platforms on these sandals, and if you don’t like the silver as much as I do, they come in like a zillion other colors.
Converse platform low-tops made of leather: summer perfection.
Here’s a cute and easy tee dress that’ll only run you 50 clams.
This shirt dress from Universal Standard comes in a few good colorways, but I’m partial to this grassy green.
And finally: a chambray shirt fabricated to be light enough to wear all summer.
Thanks for throwing in the “50 clams” comment — made me happy as a clam. Interesting thing about the pic of the J.Crew pants, I actually love that jacket and those fisherman’s sandals even more! Had to hunt down the jacket, it is a special collab between J.Crew and Cassi Namoda. It’s weird how that pattern makes the jacket look thicker than a linen jacket. It really looks much better in that pic with the pants than on its own product page.
Re: fisherman’s sandals, I’ve loved the trend coming up in the past few years and I’d been deliberating and deliberating for over a month (trying to minimize the impulsive buys). I finally gave in and ordered the Everlane fisherman’s sandal version that I’ve been drooling over since March. Cross my fingers. That’s Not My Age had a fisherman’s sandals post that pushed me over the edge finally.
Speaking of denim/chambray tops, I’m also looking for an extremely light blue (like a hint of blue) wash, soft over-size button-down (or button-front depending on your region) shirt. I had found one that seemed perfect on Madewell, but the last one n stock sold out just as I added it to my bag. There’s a Citizens of Humanity one that’s great too but it’s $198(!) on Anthropologie. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I’ve been hunting for a while and it doesn’t help that long-sleeve shirts are now getting cleared out for summer stock.
That bright green shade is EVERYWHERE this summer and I’m here for it!
I have the J Crew pants and they are indeed soft and the fabric is really lightweight. Prefect for summer in the south.
Those pants have been in my shopping cart for months and I finally am buying them now. Plus another pair that were also in the cart. 30 percent off SUMMER code. It’s the little things…
I have a version of those Beek sandals and they are so uncomfortable! It could be the shape of my foot, and it makes me very very sad, but I can’t wear them. So try them on if you can, and I hope they work for you! They are very chic. Love all these pics, love your blog, and love the podcast!
