The warmer weather we’ve been having lately has put me in mind of spring clothes, but surely there is more bitter winter cold to come, and this post is a little all over the place as a result of that. I snapped these high-waisted chinos up in two colors cause I think they’re so good.
I chose a close-up picture of this Liberty shirt from J. Crew so you could appreciate just how good this print is. I’m in love with the color combination.
These fisherman clog sandals would look so cute with the chinos above.
This floral quilted jacket is a touch twee, but it’s also pretty awesome.
And here’s a plaid quilted jacket that I also like, even though these are not usually colors that appeal to me.
This webbed belt is a fun, new-wavey touch. I also like it in solid black.
Just a cute embroidered top for tooling around in on springtime days.
I just love the blue here, and the fuzzy texture.
And finally: I’m still kind of intrigued by the idea of a sweater vest, and this one is so wearable, as well as reasonably priced.
Love the vest! Just ordered it in the grey…never heard of the brand, but appreciate their philosophy.
Yesterday it was 77––today it is 43. Ergo, this post is perfect for me ;-). Love the chinos, love the fisherman’s clogs, love the sweater vest and LOVE the color of that sweater!! I can hear my credit card sighing from across the room.
Did you find they fit true to size? I love the look of them on the model but alas I am 50, 5’6 and short waisted so……

Has anyone tried these? I have gotten a few things from One Quince, mostly cashmere, but the price is right and these look pretty good.
The Madewell embroidered top is SO cute! I’ve gotta have it.
Love the chinos, BUT. I yearn for the days when pants hems skimmed the tops of shoes. I am at the awkward height where ‘ankle length’ is above the ankle and ‘tall’ options are too long. Admittedly, I’m old enough to have worn jeans that dragged the ground at the heels!
I am too, and I’m kind of into the hem dragging all over again these days. I’m not sure I ever left off, actually.
Remember when getting the back exactly ragged enough was key?
I am ready to buy all of these even if I can’t wear them for two months!!!!!!
NEW WAVE! Remember all the cute new wave boys? (dreamy sigh)
I love the chinos! Which two colors do you recommend? Thanks!
I like the khaki & the army green.
