I have made the switch to wireless bras, and I don’t think I’m ever going back. My favorite brand for them is Negative Underwear, because they’re so comfy and highly supportive at the same time, which is a tough trick to pull off. My most recent purchase is this plunge bra, which is so soft it’s crazy.
On Saturday afternoon, I took the dog for a stroll, and ended up at the Rachel Comey store on Crosby Street, which is one of my favorite boutiques in which to browse, due to the charming staff and eclectic selection. I’d been eyeing this sweatshirt for quite some time and finally pulled the trigger (although, because I am highly predictable, I purchased it in black). I love the puffy three-quarter sleeves, which make it more dressed-up than your average sweatshirt.
I want want want this denim jumpsuit: I like the tapered legs, adjustable waistband, and slightly faded-out wash of the denim.
I found this excellent fleece coat at Uniqlo, and think it looks just as good as similar items that cost four times as much or more (it also comes in black, fyi). I also like this collarless one, also from Uniqlo.
Another Uniqlo find: this Heattech ballet top would be excellent layered under a V-neck sweater so just a hint of lace shows through. I know it’s a little premature to be showing you winter under-layers, but I have a hunch this will sell fast.
Just a really good pair of stretch twill chinos that look like they could be Nili Lotan but cost a whole lot less.
These lace up shearling boots are also a little premature to be showing you, but like the Uniqlo top, I think they’ll go fast. They’re by an Italian brand called Diemme, and I think they’ve got a distinctly Euro-chic vibe.
I found a mother lode of Nili Lotan marked way, way down at Nordstrom Rack, and among the offerings was this dress, which I purchased at the beginning of the summer, and no I’m not the least bit bitter that now it’s going for so much less than I paid, not bitter at all.
You know I like white outerwear—it’s just so fresh and crisp-looking. This coat is more of a creamy hue, which is loads easier to maintain that straight-on white, and I think the cut is very luxe.
This long-sleeved polo shirt is just so slouchy and cool. And it’s cheap enough that you could buy it in more than one color.
I think these cropped wide leg leather pants are super-cool; I’d wear them just as shown here (albeit with lower-heeled boots) and if my ankles froze, they froze. Here’s something similar but cheaper.
Is this the year I finally go for the pair of shearling Birkenstocks I’ve been craving for ages? Time will tell. They’re an excellent stand-in for these pricier Jenni Kayne moc clogs I’ve also been coveting.
