This ask comes from my beloved former podcast partner Tally (by the way, my new partner Jenn and I have a new episode today!), who likes a button-down with a little something extra going on. I am especially enamored of this sweet heart print.
What could be fresher than a bright green floral? I also like the straight-across hem, which I’m certain isn’t the technical term for it.
A star print that’d be cute peeking out from under a blazer.
A delightfully loud shirt from Boden, of all places.
This lipstick print is just so fun and kind of 70s-ish.
This is kind of Lily Pulitzer-ish, but in a way I can really get behind.
And here commences the animal print portion of the post: this blue leopard print is nicely subtle, for a leopard print.
And here’s a really good cheetah print; here’s one that’s much cheaper.
Meanwhile, these leaping cheetahs are just so charming.
And this snakeskin print is as slinky as it is slouchy.
I love the mix of colors on this batik number.
Eensy little pineapples animate this sweet shirt.
This trippy green paisley-ish specimen is kind of cool in a retroish way.
This print kind of looks like wallpaper, but in a good way.
And this has a kind of antique-y feel.
A lively Liberty of London petunia print.
This sheer floral Isabel Marant top is marked way down.
A softly sexy floral in subdued hues.
I like the tropical details on this western shirt.
A really satisfyingly graphic zebra print from & Other Stories.
And finally: I dig the contrasting pockets on this Xirena shirt.
If I were even remotely a button-down person I’d grab the cheetah one.
As I scrolled down and the eensey pineapple print came into view I thought, “That’s got to be a Frank and Eileen.” Sure enough. And, of course, I LOVE it! The retro paisley is so not my thing, yet I feel a desperate NEED. (sigh)
Just bought the Isabel Marant top! It’s exactly my style! Love it. Thanks for highlighting it.
The Boden floral would make a great skirt! I like a plain top and a party on the bottom.
For a request: #1 Washable stylish handbags since now with covid my purse goes into the washer when I came home from anywhere. I am currently using a tote.
That Isabel Marant model, though. Yeeps.
Stop! I NEED to be on a button down cleanse this month before I move into Spring and so many of these are calling my name especially the florals. Great post.
