Shopping indie designers on the Mother Denim site

7

In addition to trafficking in great denim, the Mother site features about a dozen and a half small brands, many of which I’d not heard of before encountering them here. This woven leather tote from Basket Case is so damn elegant, and it reminds me a bit of a Bottega Veneta bag, but without the four-figure price tag.

This tee by Cloney just cracks me up, and it’s so pleasingly graphic.

I dig the sherbet hues on this glorious caftan dress by a brand called Devotion Twins.

This tie dye sleeve tee comes in a few colorways, but I surprise myself by liking this brown one best.

Animal print slides by Freedom Moses that are both well-priced and so cool.

The tonal stripes on this button-down by La Paz are just so understated and cool.

The anchor logo on this sweatshirt, also by La Paz, is nicely sporty.

Here’s a sweet top by Maria Cher that’s both feminine and un-prissy, which is one of my favorite combinations.

A peasant top by Natalie Martin with a sweet under-the-sea-ish print.

A cute, summery little beaded necklace by Ratdog.

A super-cute hoodie from Sprwmn.

Such a great retroish tee from Velva Sheen.

And finally, courtesy of Xirena: a perfect button-down that comes in a nice variety of colors.

Love the puka-shell-like quality of that necklace! These are fun; I already miss summer.

Love this post, Kim! The information overload of the interwebs can make it hard to dig for indie designers, so I really appreciate your doing it for us! Really digging the La Paz stuff.

Love both the sweatshirts. I’m pretty certain they’d both spark some joy. (can you tell I’ve been watching bit and pieces of the Marie Kondo series)

Oooh, the caftan! I also like the graphic tee and tie dye sleeves. Fun post.
