One of these days, I’m going to get myself a Nordstrom credit card so I can have early access to this massive sale, because I believe a lot of the good stuff gets picked off early. Still, I found plenty to like/want, starting with this Longchamp leather bag, the likes of which I have coveted forever. (I also dig this expandable tote, also from Longchamp).
I own these Nili Lotan pants in black, and they’re the only higher-waisted pants that flatter me, so I might go for them in this good grey.
Also by Nili Lotan: these tailored army pants in a cute pale pink.
The dark grey shade of these Rag & Bone boots is just great, and I always like a pointy toe.
Just a really good, pretty minimal bag for fitting all your stuff, from Allsaints.
The muted colors in this top from Nili Lotan are ideal if you want to wear a floral but don’t want to look too girly.
I have shown you this wedge sandal before—it’s from Mephisto, a brand that’s supposed to make the most comfortable, walkable shoes in creation. I haven’t ever pulled the trigger on them, but at this price I’m tempted to (BTW, click through to see the other colors it comes in if blue isn’t your thing).
I own these jeans and really like them—they’re a good, slouchy boyfriend cut, and I dig the lower waistline.
These Ray-Bans are such a cool update on the classic Wayfarer.
A good, slightly clunky, highly walkable boot is high on my list of Things I Want, and these fit the bill pretty perfectly.
I really think this faux-shearling shirt jacket looks like it could be Isabel Marant.
And here’s another shirt jacket that feels like it could be classic Celine.
The grungy 90s-ness of this oversized sweater delights me.
A sweatshirt with a kind of architectural silhouette, in the very best shade of blue.
And finally, this stretch silk shirt comes in a variety of colors, and I think is such an easy, light layer to wear under sweaters and blazers.
Two things about the Dre jeans: 1) I had to size down one size and 2) they are more low rise than mid rise (which is fine by me, but may bother some). Also, regarding the Mephisto sandals…I had a pair (different style––flatter and rubber sole) that lasted forever and I walked the bejesus out of them––never hurt my feet. LOVING that Avec Les Filles shirt jacket! And the Tory Burch boots are perfect except they are Tory Burch which never seem to fit my foot in the heel. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH
Great post! So many cute things – many of which are in my cart right now!
The Longchamp expandable tote is one of the best purchases of my life! I pack it in my suitcase on every trip. It comes in handy for any shopping/souvenirs & can then be used as a carry on, or checked as luggage.
I have the Mephisto wedge sandal from
your prior recommendation and they are super comfortable and I receive compliments every time I wear them. Thanks!
I loved these Caslon water-resistant black leather lug sole boots so much last Fall/Winter that I’m buying another pair because $59 is a steal. https://www.nordstrom.com/s/caslon-miller-water-resistant-chelsea-boot-women/5574248 Also finally ordered the NeuBrow duo after hearing good results here & on Andrea’s blog.
Nubrow will change your life. Or at least the life of your eyebrows.
Mephisto sandals are worth every penny of their hefty full price. On sale, they are a no brainer.
The Ray Bans had been in my cart and now they are on their way to me…
I have those Rag & Bone boots in black and they are super comfortable, be aware you need to size up, R&B runs notoriously small. They get better with age too.
Wow, I thought I had seen everything in this sale but you really found some treasures! That faux-shearling jacket is calling my name.
Thank you!
(jacket ordered, btw)
It may just be me, but I’m not feeling the cropped pants anymore.
Me, either. I bought a pair thinking I’d look like Audrey Hepburn or Jean Seberg and instead looked like an adult dressed as a dorky kid at summer camp.
I’m still feeling them…I’ve only had to hem a couple of pairs of pants in the last 2 years, and i get to show off my awesome shoes and boots.
The only thing I splurged on in this year’s sale (and last year, too) was the Trish McEvoy skincare set (comes in a zippered case with many popular products). It is $225, but you get some AH-MAZING full size skin care products that will last until next year’s Anniversary Sale. I pre-order at the Trish counter here in Chicago and the sets always sell out (currently not listed on the web site, which makes me think it got snapped up in Early Access).
