These trousers—which usually have elastic at the waist or ankle, and often both—are pretty perfect for life the way it’s being lived right now by most of us. Which is to say: they’re comfy and lounge-y, while still being pretty presentable. I like this pair because it’s got a nice high waist and polished-looking waist-tie.
These are from Frame denim, and they’ve got a trouser-y cut I really like.
This utilitarian pair comes in about a zillion colors, but I dig this punchy pink. It also looks really deeply comfortable.
These silk pants look nicely sophisticated. I’d wear them with a silk blouse.
I do love a side stripe, and I also really love blue and black color combinations, and this pair has both of those things: aces.
I like the slightly cropped cuff here, and the fact that these are a really inky-dark black.
These are from Universal Standard, which means they come in every size conceivable. I own them, and have to say they’re so nicely tailored that you could get away with wearing them to the office—if any of us ever goes to the office again.
These are linen, and very well-priced.
I think the embroidery here is sweet and kind of fun.
This pair has cargo pant styling and a nice slouchy fit.
I like that this faux leather pair is on the roomier side—the better to maneuver around in.
These have trouser pocket styling—front and back—that adds some polish.
These win the contest for being as comfy as sweats while looking way more put-together than them.
A fun subtly tie-dyed pair that I’d wear with a big old black cashmere sweater.
