I dig the deep cuffs and overall slouchy feel of this H&M peacoat.
And the gold buttons here are really good.
I’d wear this red plaid number with a black and white striped sweater.
The knit sleeves here are a nice touch.
This is just rather spectacularly well-priced.
You can’t go too far wrong with L.L. Bean’s classic model.
This is just the right amount of cropped—which is to say, not too much.
These are all good choices, but I have to say the cropped aspect of the plaid Ralph Lauren makes me want to add it to my jacket/coat wardrobe pronto!
My 15 year old Max Mara peacoat looks as beautiful as the day I bought it and makes me happy every time I get to wear it.
I’ve had my black cashmere Max Mara peacoat for 15 years, too. It’s (much) tighter than it was when I bought it, and I really should give it to one of my nieces, but it’s so beautiful and soft that I can’t let it go. Nor can I buy another peacoat while I have it.
DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS CRAZY KINDA PROBLEM????
Ahem. More importantly, does Max Mara make black cashmere peacoats in size 14 these days? I could just look…
So timely, thank you! I literally just did a “peacoat” keyword search on your site over the weekend to see if you had corralled anything recently. These are great!
A Navy surplus peacoat will last FOR-EVER. Use Google. The older the better; think how it used to be that clothing was made to last. (Instead of today’s throwaway culture.) A Navy peacoat never loses its shape, very warm, true navy blue color, pockets are lined with high-quality fabric. They are indestructible. Plus senior gents will come talk to you once they spot the authentic Navy issue peacoat buttons. I’ve had several fun conversations start this way. : )
I had one that a friend in the Navy brought me, and now I don’t know where it is! (Too many moves…)
I love the styling on the Frame coat. Ingenious to put the striped sweater under the plaid shirt. And with the leather pants, too.
Love all the choices but I wish I could find a slightly longer peacoat- I like my tush covered! I know its not the traditional look but still I want it!
I think if it covers your butt it’s not a peacost any more 😉
