It was a big week for not shopping around here, but not for lack of temptation. To wit: I have been jonesing hard for this Zero+Maria Cornejo skirt, which has such a cool print and is rather magically flattering as well.
And this splurgetastic Rick Owens hoodie is pretty enchanting too.
Just a really good short-sleeved button down; the contrasting stripes on the sleeve are a nice touch.
The zebra print on this Isabel Marant bomber is so chic, but is also subtle enough that you could be wearing another print with it and not look nuts. I really, really want this.
And here is another skirt I feel would be really flattering. It’s flouncier than I usually go for, but not in an overwhelming way.
A cute peasant top with a touch of subtle metallic threading, which is always fun.
Yes, these striped jeans are a little crazy, but they’d look amazing with an oversize white tee or, later on, a big black sweater. I’d very much like to possess the nerve to wear them.
The pinstripes on this graceful asymmetrical top are pleasantly unexpected.
I love an irregular dot print, and you don’t find good ones all that often, which is why I am so enchanted by this Anine Bing blouse.
And finally, the floral quilting on this wee rolling suitcase is really appealing.
Maybe Prairie Underground hoodies would be viable and much cheaper substitutes for the very lovely one pictured?
It’s at times like these I’m glad my credit card info was stolen so have no means to make a purchase because that metallic thread peasant blouse and Isabel Marant bomber are so tempting! The stripped jeans…eeesh, one would have to have legs for days and a slim-boy-body to wear them properly!!
Please please get that bomber. I’m lusting after it but it’s out of my price range – the next best thing would to see you in it!
That hoodie is my spirit animal.
Those metallic stripes bring me RIGHT back to the cusp of the 70s and 80s. To be worn with paper bag pants and fisherman’s sandals on the NY subway. To be purchased at Bloomingdale’s, in hopes of passing for an adult despite having just graduated from college;).
Also, I believe you have posted that shirt, or similar, just recently. Therefore you must really want it and therefore should have it.
wow, the bomber and the rag & bone jeans are really calling to me. this was a killer line up!
I would wear those striped jeans with an oversized top. I’d keep everything else super simple — a plain white shirt, untucked, black sandals. Dare I say that I’ve worn much wilder pants and had so much fun? Yes, I did. These are actually quite demure and grown-up in comparison. It’s summer. Let your “Hair,” down, Kim!
Agreed! No guts, no glory, France. 😉
I rarely find anything worthwhile from J. Crew anymore, but I bought that striped top back in the early Spring, and it is one of my favorites! Depending on what I am wearing it with, sometimes I roll the sleeves so that it doesn’t look so girly.
An absolute killer post, you had me at the ZMC skirt. 😎
Buy the skirt!!! Doooooooo it.
Also the zebra jacket if you like it that much … and you will actually wear it.
those striped jeans are strangely appealing…
That Isabel Marant jacket has me seeing “etoile” in my eyes! It’s like a Chanel tweed had an affair with a Roberto Cavalli blouse and this jacket.is their love child.
I don’t know how you’ll resist that Z + MC skirt, tho. That is SPECIAL.
Those stripey jeans are giving me 1980 Merry-Go-Round and Up Against the Wall! Need a deep-V shaker knit sweater (worn backwards OF COURSE) and a pair of white, zip-up-the-back Beatle boots. Opalescent lipstick optional.
