Cheap(er) and chic of the week

There is a pretty excellent sale going on right now at Nili Lotan, and while everything is still on the pricier side, the markdowns are steep, and on some pretty good pieces, like this cashmere zipper hoodie which I own and pretty much live in (truly, it is probably one of the the top 10 most-worn items in my closet). It’s super-soft, and perfectly thin and un-bulky, which comes in handy for when you’re for layering. UPDATE: This piece has weirdly disappeared from the site. See below for another pick.

I’ve got these trousers in my shopping cart at the moment, and might just go for it—they’re really well-tailored for an army pant.

Great idea for a future post, Kim: Top 10 pieces in your wardrobe. I’d love to see yours!

It seems that GOACA of my (pants) size need not apply, lol. That’s ok. My wallet is happier for the out of stock situation. Next time!

Just fyi. I happened to have tried on the striped one from Nordstrom, black with white tie-dyed stripes. It wasn’t very special in person so I returned it.

I have one pretty much identical to this, and wear it several times a week, during all but the hottest summer days. It is SO versatile and works with casual as well as dressier outfits. The fact that it has a hood is helpful in case it starts to sprinkle or mist and I don’t want my hair to get wet! Everyone should have one of these. Search the web, ladies!

Link doesn’t work? Takes you to an “Oops” page. Maybe it’s sold out?

Ugh—between when I wrote the post yesterday and now, it appears to have disappeared from the site. Apologies.
