I know I showed you a fair number of sweaters last week, and here I am opening this week with one too, but I just think this alpaca number is so fantastic. The space dye is subtle and cool and looks like it could be expensive and Missoni, but in actuality it costs just $130.
I have two alpaca sweaters from Everlane this year and they’re wonderful. Definitely oversized. Alpaca is lightweight and soft and very warm. Two thumbs up, would buy again.
It is nice to see the recycling of polyester, too. I’ve been beginning to wonder where all the polyester in fashion comes from – you know, the economics of it, etc. I have not yet worn anything from alpaca. It looks nice and toasty.
Alpaca is awesome – I knit and I’m a nerd, so I spend a lot of time thinking about different wools and fibres. Alpaca is light and warm, Baby Alpaka (or Suri) is very soft, more or less like cashmere. And cheaper.
I bought a recycled polyester puffer recently and was skeptical about warmth but it seems to work! Also, grabbed this yesterday (tried it on NOT intending to do so) – it’s only part alpaca but seems so warm!! https://www.peruvianconnection.com/product/203822-morococha+tunic.do?sortby=ourPicksAscend&refType=&from=fn
Oh wow, that’s really nice – good find! Oh my, that looks like an interesting site, too …
There is something so cheerful about this sweater! (I like the jeans as well)
CW, The bottoms look like Everlane’s rigid slouch jeans. I have never managed to get pants from them to fit me, ever.
Love the colors. One of my absolute favorite color combos is pink, coral/orange, and brown, but it’s so hard to find a piece with these three together. I once had a Banana Republic turtleneck with stripes alternating in those colors and it was just fantastic.
