What is there to say about stripes that I haven’t said already? After eight years of writing this blog, not an awful lot. They are the easiest print to wear by far, and the easiest one to mix with other prints for sure (just remember the golden rule of pattern mixing and make sure each item has one color in common). And while I like them all year round, they’re especially great for this time of year. Check out this cute polo shirt from Kule, purveyors of some of the coolest striped items out there.
I like the slouchiness and poppy hue of this shirtdress, and I like the drop shoulders too.
Another shirtdress, this one with a spiff self-belt in the back, from Cos.
This tunic is on the sheer side, so I’d wear it with a cami, or just use it as a beach cover-up.
A pretty striped shirtdress from Vince that would look good belted or not.
The chevron stripes on this Saloni dress (currently marked down) contrast brightly with a spray of florals.
This Nili Lotan Shirt could not be a whole lot more classic, and her shirts only get better with age.
A popover shirtdress that I could see kicking around on the weekend in.
I like the contrasting pocket stripes on this flowy shirt, and also the winning charcoal and yellow color combination.
I really really really want this Nili Lotan dress—it just looks exactly like what I want to be wearing all summer.
A well-priced striped tee with a nice deep scoopneck.
I’m sorry, but these Tretorn slides are the awesomest—like a party for your feet.
I love a linen tee—they just hang better—and the micro-stripes on this one are so chic.
A very sportif polo shirt with bold gold buttons.
It’s Madewell’s Central Shirt—which is one of my favorite summer shirts—in a cool striped pattern.
And finally, this V-neck top reminds me of an old-school rugby shirt, but updated.
