A bunch of insanely cute puffers

12

Shopping for puffers used to be a chore, but in the past couple of years it’s become a delight as they grow increasingly stylish. This multi-layered coat from Vince is nicely streamlined, especially considering how much it has going on.

A nice poppy red and a cool cropped cut.

Everlane has just launched a new collection of puffers made entirely of discarded plastic bottles, and while it comes in a few more versatile colors, I’m quite partial to this yellow one.

A classic version at a very good price.

I’ve been thinking about getting a half-zip puffer for a while now, and I like this one a great deal even though it’s brown, which usually isn’t my thing.

The deep stand collar here is quite chic, and probably very cozy.

Yes, this paisley number is on the crazy side, and I’m not quite certain what the appeal is for me, but there you have it.

A gold metallic number that isn’t too shiny, which is key when wearing metallics.

A nice collarless option.

This is so excellently glossy.

I like the sweater cuffs and collar here, and the side-buttons too.

Here’s a good option if quilting isn’t really your thing.

The shawl collar here is an elegant touch.

Another rather glossy option, and it comes with a puffer scarf, which is cool.

Look closely and you’ll see that this has a subtle plaid print.

I like the contrasting quilting here.

From Universal Standard: a kimono-ish number I seriously covet.

The geometric quilting here is so sharp.

The side-tie here is so sweet.

From Barbour: a quilted version of their popular Beadnell jacket.

I’m always a sucker for toggles.

Uniqlo’s cocoon-ish coat looks super-cozy and is well-priced.

Faux leather adds a dose of toughness.

And finally: the embroidered hearts here could not be a whole lot more adorable.

I’m only 5 foot, but I love the idea of being swallowed up in the Uniqlo Cocoon Coat! Like wearing a sleeping bag!

I bought the Uniqlo the other day in the blue color, and I love it but I’d advise you to shop soon. I apparently got the last coat in the store—there were no more in any size/color. I lucked out because I wanted the blue anyway. It runs huge—lately I often need a large, but the small fit fine. Most of the smaller sizes are also sold out online.

Not really a puffer fan, too bulky on me & the puffier ones remind me of packing material. But I do like the thinner puffers you have included, you do well at being style/size inclusive.

Who ever thought that a basic puffer could be so stylish? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the asymmetric ones! Eileen Fisher and Universal Standard – “The force is strong with this one.”

I bought the Universal Standard one even though I’m a size 10 – I had to have it and I’m thrilled. It’s damn cute. I think I need the red puffer too. Coveting.

I have the Universal Standard puffer in ice blue (not sure if they have that color this year) and it is the dreamiest coat! Like walking around in a cloud…

When Betty and I land in Austin tomorrow it’s going to be 84 degrees so getting all excited about a puffer is difficult. However, these are all outstanding choices!! Also––full disclosure––I ordered the Everlane half-zip semi-puffer which should be waiting for me at my door when I arrive home. And yes, I am flying home to VOTE in PERSON because I didn’t want to leave this one to an absentee ballot. (Of course now I have to check my voting machine because there have been a horrific number of machines that have “malfunctioned” in Texas. argh)

I like the look of the half-zip. A lot. But the thought of having to pull a potentially wet/dirty coat over my head every time I want to take it off is a dealbreaker.

Wow….. So many great choices! Thank you! Old Navy has 2 excellent metallic puffers….rose gold and silver that are similar to J. Crew for a fraction of the price. They also have a burgundy velvet puffer that I just ordered.

Love the Universal Standard wraparound-esque one. Looks like a stylish blanky, so cozy!

have you ever tried on the Norma Kamali sleeping bag coat or jacket? I’ve been wanting one for years but I’m a petite 5’1″ and it’s hard for me to pull off …
