A bunch of cute tees for under $50

12

OK, so many of the pieces here come in more than one color, but I didn’t feel like pointing that out every single time, so be sure to click through and check out any that might appeal. This is Madewell’s ultra-popular Whisper Cotton Tee, which also available as a V-neck.

I think this is one of the best heather greys I’ve seen in a while.

I won’t quite swing sleeveless anymore, but the hint of a sleeve here I can deal with. I also like the neckline.

A good scoopneck number that is made from cotton and modal, which always results in a pretty soft tee.

A puff-sleeve tee that I like because the sleeves are really subtly puffy.

And this dolman sleeve specimen has such a good, drapey look.

The shirring detail on this one is a nice little touch.

Doesn’t this look pretty sophisticatedly French?

Just a good oversized pocket tee in such a pretty lavender.

Rugby stripes are an easy way to add a tomboyish vibe to an outfit.

A nifty ringer tee that’s fun in a retroish way.

And finally: I love linen tees like this because they hang so well (just keep them out of the dryer) but they’re never cheap, so this discovery was a small thrill.

So, I just noticed, is that a number the model has had tattoo-ed on her arm? There are some wild theories on the web. I reeeeally am an old fart.

I hope it is okay if I say something, prefaced by, I know I am an old fart. But. Does this mean he *did* grab the boob, or does it *not* mean that? Because if he didn’t, then I wish he wouldn’t resign. There are, or should have been, a range of other disciplinary measures – well short of metaphorical execution – that could have been applied to all non-boob-grabbing misdeeds. So, I am a little bit having that post- Al Franken feeling again. And I do not like it. Although, he’s not even my governor so why do I care?

I agree – that *is* a nice grey. The photos of it on the linked page are a tiny bit confusing, but no matter. … … … Does anyone know, or have opinions about, the difference between a 1X and an XXL? On the Madewell site, the bust measurements for the 1X are smaller than for the XXL. I will go google this but I wanted to know – since the one I like isn’t in stores – what I might be likely to get.

Hmm … the intergoggly seems to indicate that the 1X is made just bigger all over the body, in a general sense. However, it also looks as if sizing really means nothing and I’d just need to go try one on. (I was looking at the tanks btw.) Never mind…

I have the first one. Got I when you first recommended it. I see it everywhere even on an actress wearing on a TV drama. It is classic.

I have major beef with Madewell tees in that they are not made well, and develop holes within a month of washing. Too bad because they really are cute.

I have numerous Madewell tees and I’ve never had that problem. It shouldn’t happen, but could it be from tucking next to a jeans zipper?

My tees snag because I use the ends to wipe off my cheap-o, ooops I mean affordably priced glasses that I bought over the intergoggly. (I think I need to get back in a chair though now.)

Good to know!!! I am in love with the summer periwinkle color. Would I actually wear it though? This I don’t know.

I’m not the only one who does laundry around my house, so sometimes linen tees get thrown in the dryer. What I do is get them wet again, stretch them out and dry them on a hanger. Works like a charm.

Just wanted to add another tee option. Quince, which I love for lovely, well-priced cashmere sweaters, is now offering a really nice washable silk tee for about $50 with choice of 7 colors. So comfortable. At onequince.com
