I love these for layering this time of year, and for wearing on their own later, for a sportif tomboyish look. This first one is made of organic cotton, and I like that it’s slightly cropped.
This oversized hoodie looks so nicely broken in.
A corduroy/velour hybrid that looks soft as can be.
Here’s a cashmere option that’s pretty well-priced, as far as cashmere hoodies go.
The orange heart pops so nicely against the red on this sweet little number.
I don’t typically like a logo as you may know, but the Adidas one is so pleasingly old-school.
This fleece specimen has got to be as cozy as all get-out.
And I like the quilted texture of this jacquard specimen.
A super-oversized, lightweight scuba hoodie.
And finally, a fun little velour option.
I might end up searching for a recent GOACA link to a Nordstrom product. (I also like the crazy “blue” one which is half off on Shopbop but only in a small size and to me, hoodies aren’t hoodies unless they are oversized.) https://www.nordstrom.com/s/new-balance-x-staud-colorblock-sweatshirt/5941811?color=BLACK&mrkgadid=3356815455&mrkgcl=760&mrkgen=gpla&mrkgbflag=0&mrkgcat=&utm_content=33817190135&utm_term=pla-818966139566&utm_channel=low_nd_shopping_standard&sp_source=google&sp_campaign=662927194&adpos=&creative=145518898720&device=m&matchtype=&network=g&acctid=21700000001689570&dskeywordid=92700049880627892&lid=92700049880627892&ds_s_kwgid=58700005470160511&ds_s_inventory_feed_id=97700000007631122&dsproductgroupid=818966139566&product_id=35881790&merchid=1243147&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&locationid=9003512&targetid=pla-818966139566&campaignid=662927194&adgroupid=33817190135&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI16usofqV9gIVRfvjBx2ICQ87EAQYBSABEgLsJPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Anybody else have a problem with static? I love all hoodies pretty much, but if they aren’t 100% cotton I get a nasty shock whenever I touch anything while wearing them. I live in a dry mountain climate.
I’m going to be an outlier and say that I am not impressed with “The Gilded Age.” I was really looking forward to it, just like I was “Sanditon,” but I feel like Julian Fellows has been churning them out like a Jane Austen factory gone haywire! IMO, the writing and plot are subpar. I go back to the oldies but goodies when I need a dose of merry old England and the likes. *LOVE the red heart hoodie!
My hoodie habit is all your fault – I never had one until I became a GoaCA and now I own (some may say too) many – all pullover, though. I’m not a fan of the zip variety, which may just mean I haven’t found the right one, yet. Super tempted to go for the oversized Rivet & Thread Madewell but it is final sale (super cheap with the discount code) and the reviews say the neck opening is really small.
A few years ago J.Crew carried an assortment of cashmere zip-up hoodies in bright colors ( I recall a punchy orange one) which I sadly missed out on. They were styled under a blazer and looked amazing. It’s been my holy grail ever since, but so far my search has been fruitless.
The red one with the orange heart went into my cart without my even looking at the price. Serious love going on here. Listened to this weeks EIF podcast this morning while exercising and barely made it through my “routine” because I was “forced” to laugh out loud so many times! Side note: I am loving The Gilded Age, BUT Nathan Lane’s mashup of Foghorn Leghorn and Colonel Sanders was def a WTFityF moment. And I love Nathan Lane––still, one does have ones limits.
If the price gives you pause, don’t let it. Adidas hoodies (even the collabs) are super well made – “aces,” as Kim would say. Also, I was on the fence about starting The Gilded Age but I’ve just learned there is a Cavalier King Charles so I MUST watch.
The black Zella hoodie from Nordstrom with the brilliant idea of a little zip pocket on the big front pocket also comes in a fabulous bright firetruck red. Decisions, decisions.
Scooped up that cashmere hoodie in the beautiful deep chocolate. 10% off which made the bitter of the price sting a little less.
