- A bunch of photos from yesterday’s #believesurvivors walkouts. (The Cut)
- Relatedly, here’s a remarkable piece my friend Deborah wrote about confronting her rapist, 30 years later. (The Atlantic)
- Really cool aerial photos of Iceland. (Colossal)
- Here is the trailer for Tea With the Dames, which looks fun. (YouTube)
- And here, because it’s just about that time, is the fall foliage prediction map. (Kottke)
Yes, thank you for Deborah Copaken’s article. Thank you.
I watched a trailer for Tea With Dames the other day and was so heartened by their fun and camaraderie. Can’t wait to see it in full.
Am only dipping into the news in the early morning and was glad––very glad––to see so many women (and men!) protesting yesterday. Gives me the slightest glimmer of hope for the country’s future.
Deborah Copaken’s essay, as positive as it is, is also heartbreaking. I wept.
Gadzooks those Iceland photos are stunning!! They were the “saving grace” of the links because they took me away for a moment and I think we all need those moments every single day.
Those Iceland pics are incredible. One of my favorite IG accounts is DailyOverview (www.dailyoverview.com). It’s amazing how an aerial view can be such a study in architecture and art at the same time. Beautiful.
Thank you for posting a link to Deborah Copaken‘s brave and timely piece.
