I find so many of the Messy Nessy Chic articles you post to be really interesting.
Re: your favorite 80s band – my husband said whoever wrote that was clearly not alive in the 80s as no one would pick Mike and the Mechanics as their favorite band. I couldn’t believe U2 wasn’t on the list.
Oh… I kind of might pick Mike and the Mechanics depending on the moment. A few weeks ago my partner and I amused ourselves by singing All I Need is a Miracle in our living room. What I love about 80s bands is, there’s one for every mood.
When I see street style photos from NY Fashion Week I always become verklempt for Bill Cunningham.
Scrolling through the street style, it all seems so costume-y. Has it always been this way and I’m just…older now? Even though the attendees have always worn things that were out of my league, I feel like I used to be able to get some ideas and inspiration, at least from the cuts or shapes that people were wearing, or color combinations, or textures… This all just seems so incredibly over the top that I feel like I can’t relate at all.
loved the New Yorker piece about Candace Bushnell! So many thoughts….
IKEA Heights is hilarious but it happened in 2010? How did I never hear about it till now?!
No joke, when my brother and I were little we were told to have a password for anyone picking us up from school. I guess our favorite band was The Clash!
I dig the Ali Wong bit. Also her outfit!! I am almost nostalgic for New York too, and I never lived there. I am a little bit hankering for a visit.
