- This piece—about pre-code Hollywood’s biggest star, Norma Shearer—is just fascinating. (Messy Nessy Chic)
- I can’t wait to go see the Yayoi Kusama show at the New York Botanical Garden. (Town & Country)
Norma Shearer!!! She is amazing in my favorite movie of all times The Women-1939 all female cast…not a man in sight…snarky as hell and of course Joan Crawford!
Baby Carrie Fisher!
I won’t be traveling from California to NY for the Kusama exhibit but if I could teleport myself, I’d do it in a minute. I saw her 2012 exhibit by chance at the Whitney at a particularly painful time in my life and her Infinity Net paintings offered a solace I’d never experienced from visual art before.
Celebrity Airport Photos: Jealous of Dapper Mick’s suit/coat look, Ali looks as elegant as heck and what in the world is happening with Linda McCartney’s boobs?
Ah the 70s…..that’s the last time I ever went braless, when I was about 12 years old. Also the last days before World Fashion Explosion. Jeans, a T shirt or button-down, clogs, and you were good-to-go.
I think Linda is braless.
Yep
I think we should all carry ourselves like Joan Collins in an airport.
I didn’t have to even scroll down the links before having a major crush on Paul’s western shirt. Ditto urging one and all to listen to the newest podcast––really good one (also, Jenn’s piece on puff shoulders/sleeves via Patreon almost won me over to puff shoulders/sleeves––so worth the subscription). Have a great weekend everyone!
I’m still mulling over Jenn’s recommendation – her powers of persuasion are strong.
I usually *majorly dislike* puff sleeves but have a short sleeve t-shirt sitting in my cart as I type. And the pics of the Batman-themed dance class made me smile “out loud.”
i approve of this!
