That article about the black woman knowing too much about white hair really brought up some memories for me. I worked on film sets for years as an extra (for a little extra money) and it was maddening how many Hair and Makeup trailers didn’t have people who knew how to style black hair. Too many black extras were left waiting outside the trailer forever until the 1 person who could style their hair was free or were told no one was available, so they need to self-style it. Why wouldn’t you hire people who know how to style ALL kinds of hair, especially if you know the background actors will be diverse?

I’m sure the woman depicted in the stamp is just about to paint her own wall. At least I hope so. I like the other 3 though. I love the Post Office. We aren’t nice enough to them.

Now that I’m all caught up on Better Things I was going through Pamela Adlon deprivation. Can’t wait to check out her lack of baking skills!

Of course, Sam on the show is a pretty decent cook!

Usually I save the links to tide me over the weekend, but I had to watch the Pamela/Hannah Nailed It immediately and was not disappointed. Love them both! Safe and happy 4th everyone. This time next year I hope our country is going in a healthier direction (on so many levels).

Oooo! Alcohol and Coronavirus really don’t mix, not that I’m surprised. Guilty, perhaps, but not surprised. Love the Hip Hop stamps.

How interesting you chose a link to the story of the Black and White ball. Your links were all “new, new, timely, current”and then the story of a party from the’60s? Even the author of the piece died in 1993! I agree tho the Black and White ball was quite THE event. They don’t make em like that anymore.
