- The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for a third season. (The Verge)
- The best TV shows of the year so far. (Vulture)

- Ugh. (Elle)
Love the Maira Kalman piece…
thank you.
That gerbera room photo has me shattered (in a good way); I’m sitting at my desk with tears in my eyes. Crap time at work lately and I needed to see something beautiful. Thank you for sharing, Kim!
I know Kusama is respected but honestly, I can’t look at any of her work. Creeps me out.
Maira Kalman on the other hand is a joy.
🙂
The Maira Kalman piece was such a pleasure read.
I’m not much for installation art although I do love Ann Hamilton’s work (www.annhamiltonstudio)––she’s the artist who did the swing in the Park Avenue Armory that when someone swung on the swing their action moved the air currents so the huge silk panels that were hung from the ceiling moved––don’t know if anyone remembers that one.
Iowa GOP can go suck an egg.
You can say the latter again. And again.
Ugh is right. Living in Gilead right now …
Hey, one of those Gerbera daisies on the desk was mine! Stumbled upon that installation on vaca in Melbourne earlier this year and was smitten by the whole apartment. Such a nice reminder to see it pop up here.
How fun! You made ART!
I would love to see a post featuring unadorned bags!
I live in Iowa and have been following this story closely, completely disgusted by the whole thing. Hoping Gov Reynolds does not sign.
Just saw on news that the freaking governor signed the bill. Damn it all to hell.
Add Iowa to the places I won’t visit.
I have GOT to start watching The Handmaid’s Tale, in spite of how scary I found the book. (That scenario is horror for me!)
YES!! You have to watch it!! (Sorry for freaking out!). I’ve read The Handmaid’s Tale four times since about 1986, and each time it scared me more. I just got access to Hulu, binged the whole first season, and am watching season 2 episodes as soon as they are released. I can’t recommend it enough.
