I wish I knew how to use Photoshop so I could retouch the cigarette out of this woman’s hand, but I do think she looks great, and is doing winter white the way I like it, which is not so much head to toe (a look only the very immaculate and vey rich can pull off, in my estimation) but instead mixed with other, mostly neutral hues. I’m focusing on sweaters today, because they’re the easiest way to pull the look off with a minimum of effort. (Also, when I say white, I also mean off-white and cream, which are close enough.)
But I do like these corduroys, I must say (these are good too, and cheaper, but not left in many sizes).
Just a perfect, classic fisherman’s sweater; here’s a cute and much cheaper option.
I like a ribbed sweater, but not when the fit is too snug; this one is exactly perfect.
Such a luxe and gorgeous wrap sweater from Nili Lotan.
I’d wear this oversize number with leather jeans.
This vest is a dead ringer for one by Maria Cornejo I paid a lot more for and that I wear endlessly, layered over a long-sleeved tee.
A nice long cardigan that’s not too bulky.
This is deathly expensive and it’s One Size, which always irks me as a concept, but it would be perfect with dresses.
Thanks to your recommendation a few years back I bought winter white courds from J Crew and now I can’t part with them.
Thank you, Kim!! Appreciate the white sweaters suggestions. 💯 agree with you that white includes off-white and cream (I prefer those whites for clothing).
I’m infatuated by the woman’s white pants in the top photo. Any ideas where to find them? Must have.
It drives me mildly crazy (in an affectionate way) when you guys ask what the woman is wearing in the street style pictures I post, because usually I have no idea, but in this case, I do know: they’re Isabel Marant from a few years ago.
I love white in the winter. Almost all my sweaters are some version of white. These are all great choices. I have been lusting after some white cords so nail/head and I thank you!
I was just commenting this morning in a meeting with my boss that I want ALL the ivory/white/cream textured sweaters. I am wearing a lacy cowlneck today and wore a big cardigan yesterday (with a striped Madewell t, if you were wondering). Perhaps I should make it three in a row? Maybe I’ll co for the winter white cords with a sweater of a different hue …
I love that Nili Lotan sweater…any suggestions for a lower-priced version?
Here’s one from Madewell that comes close: https://rstyle.me/n/dbzdwiz5c6
These are all great, really like the Mango fisherman sweater but grrrrr they stop at medium.
I love the Madewell sweater they just added that’s white with bobbles. I love the shape of it and the model has it on with white pants
hey kim, long time reader, first time commentator: why would you photoshop the cigarette out? i mean, smoking is nit cool, but the cigarette is there. sorry, i’m european.
