I was never one to go in much for culottes or gauchos (remember those?), but I do like the idea of these, because the cut seems flattering for a variety of body types, and they’re a nice alternative to the same old skinny jeans I’m kind of trying to get away from. This first pair, from Zero+Maria Cornejo, is nicely nipped in at the waist, and has some cool flourishes up the side (click through to see).
I know some of you don’t like them, but I’m a sucker for a raw hem.
This pair, from the J. Crew line Point Sur, is pleasingly retroish with those front patch pockets.
I like the snappy deep cuff here.
This button-front pair would look fantastic with a crisp white button-down.
And I think this khaki pair is very updated preppy chic.
I just really like the wash here, and the fact they’re not too too wide.
The released hem on these is pretty cool.
The saturated blue on these is chic and unexpected.
These are from APC, and I’m a big fan of their signature dark wash.
A well-priced pair from Topshop.
A highly wearable pull-on pair in slate grey.
