Really cool (and quite marked down) reissues at Zero+Maria Cornejo

7

Check out this special new collection of some of Cornejo’s most popular pieces executed on archival fabrics. I’m particularly partial to this bold-but-feminine dress, but there is plenty more to choose from, so do not delay!

I am drooling over a lot of these heels and sandals. I also appreciate that her textiles are so distinctive. You’re purchasing a design that only the discriminating and in-the-know recognize; I like that. Any fool can drape an LV bag over their arm, you know? She has designed for the female gaze and size-inclusively from the get-go. It’s like a secret handshake.

Thanks to this blog, I have their jumpsuit and culottes. I never even consider wearing jumpsuit due to the fact that you have to take off your top clothes to use toilette. But this one somehow looked easy to put on and off and took the risk not knowing what the fit would be like. The fit was amazing(jumpsuit on the hanger always looks like they are only for 6 foot or taller people and I’m 5’3”). Culottes were so cute with stripes and really unique fabric. When I got reissue sale email(they only send you email when it is really important, only once a few months), I jumped in and ordered another jumpsuit and a pair of bronze/gold sandal and I don’t regret although they are still pricey after discount.

Note to self: When this mess calms down, leave wallet home, go try on Maria Cornejo for size purposes (see comment about leaving wallet home), sign up for emails, receive sale email and splurge. I get why sale pieces are “final sales” but all is still a bit too pricey when I’ve no idea how stuff will fit.

They run small, I bought a bunch on RealReal and had to return.

I’d never heard of this designer until I started reading this blog, and I’m smitten. Oh, to have the $ to buy one or twelve of these dresses, and oh, to have somewhere to go in them!
