Was I not just talking yesterday about how I’m having a little moment with corduroy? And don’t you think this Trench from Theory looks like something Elizabeth would have worn on The Americans?
A cute, sherpa-lined jean jacket in an impossible-to-care-for-but-so-good cream hue. (And here’s a cheaper one in pale pink).
These look like classic Wallabees, but the color and texture add a modern edge. I also like these SeaVees sneakers in the same color.
I love a wide-wale corduroy, and these trousers are so fun and bold in the red.
A classic navy blazer in corduroy skews nicely preppy.
This fisherman’s cap is just the cuteness.
A nicely oversized shirt that I could see wearing as a jacket.
A cropped jacket like this one is good for pairing with dresses and skirts; here’s another cute and much cheaper one.
A bold skirt that I’d wear with a simple tee now and a cropped (but not too cropped) crewneck sweater later.
I actually think this corduroy pump is really sophisticated.
I’ve been wanting a pair of brick red trousers for a while, and these are quite nicely cut.
The classic moto jacket shape gets softer when executed in corduroy.
And finally: a very well-priced blazer in an unexpected color. I actually find myself liking the slightly puffy shoulders.
I love corduroy and it is so back to school for me in a good way. Check out designer Caron Callahan – she just released her Fall collection and there are some great cord pieces which I just snapped up!
I have a cream jean jacket that is sherpa lined and keeping it clean is not a problem. I’ve thrown it in the washing machine once or twice since I got it last year, but otherwise NBD. I wear it all the time instead of a sweater indoors.
I love me some corduroy. Closed made purple cords a few years back. I received compliments a plenty on them!

I’m the costume designer who created Elizabeth’s look for The Americans. Lovely to see the reference. Thanks Kim!
I bow down to your genius!
Damn! It’s GOOD! We just started binging it and I’m hooked.
Two things from the Seventies I’m over forever: Corduroy and patchwork.
Couldn’t agree more. I hate corduroy. I had the jean jacket and the long maxi coat. I don’t think I really liked it back in the 70s. I can remember the smell.
Love those Theory trousers and the & other stories heels!!
Wow-I had a great goldish corduroy coat back in the 70’s that I loved-hadn’t thought of it in years-wish I still had it!!!
I’m so torn about corduroy – Do I still love it, or is it over with?
Ok. Enough drama. I’m just not sure it’s very ME anymore. And I always think university Professor when I see corduroy jackets on men. Women? Not so much. Obviously, I need to discuss this with my therapist.
I didn’t know I was “feeling corduroy” until I saw this post! Yes, but no, to the cream colored sherpa lined jacket––the spillage factor. Yes, to the & Other Stories oversized shirt (and the cord leopard print pants!). And a final YES to the cord moto jacket––love that dark grey color. Once again, out of the fashion ballpark!
Side note: Yesterday a Tom’s catalogue arrived in the mail (so much for the no catalogues EVER request) and apparently Tom’s has done a pairing with Liberty fabrics. Hummmm….
I love corduroy, but I have cats. 🙂
Corduroy always seems so stiff to me. Has the addition of stretch helped?
