Check out these cool tie-dye pieces

I’m pretty picky about tie dye, and usually only like it on items that have a simple color palette and not-too-bright hues. This dress breaks both of those rules, but I still think it’s great.

Such a pretty flowy top; I’d wear it with beaten-up jeans.

I dig how barely-there the tie dye is on this cute popover.

I don’t usually like really busy sneakers, but these are just subtle enough to work.

This tee looks like a perfect vintage find.

An easy and flattering wrap front top.

I’d wear this sundress as a beach cover-up.

A slightly body-con midi dress with a print that actually looks more Shibori than tie-dye.

This wrap dress has a kimono-ish vibe that I like.

The lemon yellow on this tee is so bright and happy.

The quietness of the tie dye print on these jeans appeals.

I love the combination of yellow and gray, and this skirt is also quite well-priced.

I like how the tie-dye looks kind of polka-dotted on this tee.

And finally: this preppy polo dress gets kind of edgy with an acid-green print.

While I rode that tie-dye train joyfully in the sixties and a bit in the seventies, I can no longer get on board with any overwhelming enthusiasm. However, I think many of these choices are joyful and fun and even beautiful, particularly the shibori-esque midi dress. Even ancient and cranky-pants as I am, I might be tempted to slip that one on for a socially distant tete-a-tete outdoors someplace pleasant with an iced coffee in hand.

I could tell that first dress was YF&B before I clicked on it. I’ve got one of theirs from a few years back that is blouson, off the shoulder on top with a mini bottom, in Aegean blues, that I like to take on beach vacations. With wrapped sandals and a straw bag, it works for shopping strolls or a beachside meal or as a coverup in a pinch. My god I miss beach vacations.

That outfit sounds adorable. Makes me happy just thinking about it. Those days ARE coming back, right?

That first dress is stunning. Also love the sneakers, and that they come in unisex sizes to accommodate larger-than-average women’s shoe sizes.

The YFB dress in the first pic is a gorgeous, flattering cut, but – alas – a little too loud for me. Maybe it would elevate my mood? Based on Themis’s comment, tho, I might check out their other offerings.

Looking at your avatar, I think it would be lovely for you! It IS satin, though, which would be sweat-making.
