Let’s talk gratitude

Have a lovely Thanksgiving, ladies, and I hope your day is exceedingly nice: full of good food, decent people, and a minimum of family drama. I’ll be spending the day uptown at my mom’s place, with a relatively small group of individuals I love, and with whom I agree about all or most of the important matters of the day that families traditionally argue about at the Thanksgiving table, and I’m grateful for that. I’m also feeling grateful for the blue wave in Congress; my health and the health of those I care about; the love of a good man; my sweet dogs; my excellent family and friends; and the fact that a few days ago, I found my blue Celine sunglasses in a handbag I hadn’t carried in a while. I’m also desperately grateful for all of you, as you keep things so pleasant and lively here. OK, now I want to hear what you’re doing, and what you’re feeling especially thankful for. Please do share. I’ll be taking tomorrow off, but  don’t forget to visit the day after that, for my rundown of the best of Black Friday.

Come to a party Wednesday night

I am really excited for this get-together, first of all because I’m throwing it with my esteemed friend and former collaborator Andrea Linett, and (in a very close) second because JDR & Company is such a cool boutique, full of Il Bisonte bags (like the glorious one above) and other treasures by designers you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, there will be wine and a discount, and who can argue with that?

Here’s all the info. I do hope we see you there.

In the name of all that is holy…
