For me, it’s this this perfect pair of chinos with the just-exactly-right amount of stretch.

Nili Lotan Paris pant. Even though I just came back from her sample sale with a tiny haul(they weren’t there in my size), I want them for the spring to wear with a nice silky shirt.
The Bessie adventure jacket in chili red from Alice Alexander or the Jules coat from Curator (not sure what color). And to @kimbersam, I felt exactly the same way. Has low-ish rise already cycled out and then back in?
I quite like the high rise. I don’t find them uncomfortable at all and love that I don’t risk my shirts popping out of them. I definitely prefer them to the low rise of my teens, where I risked flashing my butt crack every time I sat down. Yeeesh.
I keep visiting a blog (Perfume Professor) to self-soothe by looking at swatches of Poppy King’s new lipstick line. They’re expensive, but anything Poppy King makes suits me so well. Anyway, I end up spending less money in the long run when I just get the expensive thing rather than kid myself with cheaper substitutes that don’t quite work.
Yes to this. I wonder how much money (not to mention time and analysis paralysis) I waste trying to find cheaper alternatives. That would be fun to hear from everyone – the items purchased and money wasted in pursuit of one good item.
Swedish Hasbeens, which I have wanted for years; and maybe something from Outdoor Voices. I wear Althleta to the gym and I am kind of tired of all my sweats.
I love Outdoor Voices Tech Sweat 7/8 leggings in their solid colors. Most comfortable workout wear I have AND they have consistent sizing. If you wear a medium you will always wear a medium. And it’s a woman owned company.
Cuyana’s silk asymmetrical skirt. But which color, though, black or blood orange-?
(reply to Rosie – I bought Hasbeens last year, finding they fit my feet much better than No.6s – I will definitely be buying another pair. They’re so walkable but the leather’s a little rougher than No.6.)
I just finally bought a long J Crew cardigan (the long line open front sweater blazer) after wanting one all winter. It’s maybe not the best timing, since today is the first day of spring, but I think I’ll still wear it a ton. I also threw in a striped shirt, as long as I was there. J. Crew, I just can’t quit you.
Ooo! I really like those pants, Kim! I’m on a buying ban right now for Lent. It’s going….better than I thought?!?
I really want to pull the trigger on a pair of clog sandals in red by Lotta from Stockholm, a pair of light broken-in Levi’s, a smooshy leather handbag – love the red one by Marsell, and a pair of Doc Marten combat boots. Don’t ask me why now, idk. I just do!
Finally ordered a pair of Malibu’s vegan huarache sandals (the style name is Canyon) after watching them sell out three years in a row. Chunky-and-interesting flat shoes seem to be fashionable lately, plus these look like they’ll be kind to my occasionally arthritic knees. They have some nice colors; the deep purple looked so nice in the picture, I got those instead of the usual black or gray.
Update on the 6397 cropped jeans posted a little while back. I did order those, but, alas, they were too large (even though I sized down) and the fit on my behind was clown-like and the fading on the pair I received did not look AT ALL like the fading in the photo––perhaps each pair is done individually?––so they went back. I still wear my other pair of 6397’s constantly so I do believe in their products!
Thanks for the update! I ordered a pair as well but wasn’t able to get the vintage ones Kim was talking about – had to go for the classic grey. In any event, the waist was too small but the rest fit beautifully! I’m trying a size up but not holding my breath as they’ll likely be way too big in the hip and leg area.
either LeLabo The Noir or Serge Lutens Gingembre. I haven’t really been a perfume girl before so it’s taking a while to decide. I think i’ll get samples & live w/ them for a while. Of course, I could go nuts & get both…
For LeLabo lovers: Nordstrom is offering a free LeLabo 33 sample with online makeup purchases. I saw it offered when it came time to choose samples so my guess is that it’s for a limited time.
Ahhhh, perfume. If I open that box again there will be no clothes shopping, like at all. Given that I have enough perfume to scent me for the rest of my life really, it shouldn’t be tempting at all. Shouldn’t be, but it so is ….
Another pair of Levi’s 724’s . I have in cassette black and wear them way too much (thanks Kim ;-)). A different color this time.
Everlane painters pants in bone
And another pair of Swedish husbands from Hasbeen. Color undecided.
Gold slides!!!
New sunglasses. Please advise!

Just googled like a mad woman. Is the sale worth it on Day 2?
ALL the clogs from Shrill!
Is it me, or were we all wearing these in 2010? I like them, but the cycle of fashion is starting to give me whiplash.
I wore them in ‘78 – Required wearing for my college uniform of fairisle sweater, Levi’s 501’s and clogs.

I hope the super high rise will end soon. No woman deserves to have her organs crushed.
Haha I’m the opposite – I like that it sucks my chub in 🙂

I think the answer here is that low-rise never cycled entirely out.
Oh, for a moment thought you said “who”. 😂
No 6 Orlando Wedge on sale in Rose Gold or Lilac.

That’s what I call my “stupid tax.”
Another new Poppy King lipstick line? Do tell!

Get the Swedish Hasbeens! I have only had one pair, but I wore them completely out. (Already plotting my next purchase.)
Second on the Hasbeens. I’ve had issues with clog sizing in other brands so I’m not sure what size to order.

Thank you for this–was on their site the other day trying to figure out which one to try! My current love is Alo but I want to try something new.
Just got the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick and it is worth the hype. How does the color look good on everyone?
I don’t know, but I am on my second tube. It’s genius.

A beach rental.

A vegan moto jacket by Blanknyc. It’s really nice but worried I’m a tad too old to carry off the studding around the belt area.
And if you have to ask, take it back! Which I’ve since done.

seriously coveting the bryr clogs for spring/summer. keep going on the website to study.
A gorgeous Consueala bag! Instagram made me do it, and now I am obsessed with this brand. Beautifully made in Mexico, and my order has shipped, so we will see.

Lasering my face. I’m so conflicted but I think I’m ready.
