We’ve got quite a chic little podcast episode this week

13

Today on Everything is Fine, we’ve got the ultra-stylish influencer/retired professor Lyn Slater—aka The Accidental Icon—and we’re talking about working on a different notion of what aging can be, using clothes to express our identities, embracing our imperfections, rejecting Photoshop, and tons more. It’s a highly entertaining episode, so do listen in, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, or wherever you get your podcasts.

I listened to this this morning. It was really good. You’re all so smart, made for such a good discussion. I also dont color my gray (that im trying to brand as sliver). I want to check out the hair product she recommends.

Would she be an icon if she wasn’t model thin? Doubtful.

This is, unfortunately, absolutely true. But she is so smart and makes such interesting points, I don’t care how she looks or what she wears! I wish this episode were longer!

I don’t like Lyn. I find her arrogant attitude quite condescending. And I’m also aware that my opinion might be in the minority here. Although she claims to want to improve her writing, when I offered several respectful corrections to major errors that she made, she dissed my advice. Not once has she ever posted any of my comments. Even when they’re solely on what she’s wearing, and not constructive criticism of grammatical issues. I never knew that “icons” could be such sensitive snowflakes.

Seems to me that through her writing she’s sharing her inner monologue about fashion, health, aging, art, etc. I doubt that type of reflection is in need of your “corrections.”

She is super cool – love her and loved your podcast. Please feature more women who are older who are doing the thing – it’s so inspiring! The Sarah Chrichton episode was as well. More please!!!
