I like the EIF podcast because it’s talking about things nobody openly discusses. It takes bravery (because I’m sure strangers get all up in your business, Kim and Jenn) to provide this valuable service — letting GOACAs know they’re not alone, feeling disappointed about what their bodies are doing. Providing anonymity to commenters who can comfortably tell the truth and give helpful (I hope!) tips. Like this one: Gentle yoga 3-4 times a week has made sex feel much better to me. I am 63 and in a longtime loving marriage which is held together with good sex. As we age, flexibility and lubrication are it for women, plus a partner you (still) love — kind of a crapshoot, that last part, but that’s what “getting lucky” means, right?

I just bought SQUARED TOE high-heeled patent leather Mary Janes. From Steve Madden no less. (And Kim France howled in pain).

Lol, I bought some from Naturalizer of all places and I’m shocked that they look fresh and feel comfortable!

I think these can be quite chic! my main issue is with giant cloppy frankenstein boots.

I had almost the same experience with my gay husband. We “broke up” over 10 years ago. We were inseparable… he was with me through several breakups, my mom dying, etc…then he started to slowly become very judgmental… about my hair, skin, makeup, who I dated etc…more than the occasional little snippy comment. When I had finally had enough and ended it with him he tried to get my sister to side with HIM.
About a year after we stopped being friends I met the man that I am still with today…I firmly believe that the GH prevented me from being in a relationship because he wanted me for himself…and he was only happy when I was miserable and he could “fix me”.

Great episode as usual! I’m so relieved to hear you say that about square-toed shoes. Have felt like I’ve been going crazy seeing them everywhere and hating every one.

i so related to jenn (and kim’s) comments about break ups with male gay friends. it was heart breaking for me. i was so relieved to hear someone talk about the relationship between straight women and gay men, both positive and negative. it has taken me lots of therapy and years to reorient myself. i know jenn you will too.

Haven’t listened yet, hubby came home from trip with Covid (after 2.5 years of evading it). But saw the KATE show in the East Village last month (after seeing Get on your Knees with Jaqueline Novak last year) and have to say they are both brilliant. POOG is a riot. Second fave podcast next to EIF.

What is it with all the logos on clothes lately? So ugly. The seam ripper is a great idea. Maybe I’m just old and grumpy but my daughter is young and very stylish and she doesn’t want them either.

Whoops, I meant to leave this under the fleece post! Feel free to delete. LOL but maybe you should discuss hatred of logos on the podcast too.

They (logos) remind me of the license plate frames dealerships put on cars. I paid and I have to provide free advertising?
