The Zero+Maria Cornejo store is almost directly across the street from a Planned Parenthood location, and they’re showing what good neighbors they are by throwing a benefit for that organization on Tuesday June 18 from 6-8 p.m. I’m totally going, and can’t wait to enter the raffle, which includes sure-to-be-great stuff from Cornejo, Anna Sheffield, Rachel Comey, Ulla Johnson and more. And if you can’t attend, you can always support the cause by picking up this super-cool limited edition tee, designed by Cornejo and featuring the visages of various historically important ladies.
Where are the details about the benefit, for those who are able to attend?
The shirt is cool. It’s unfortunate it is in such a limited range of sizes. It’s a bit maddening that even in t-shirts that are printed to raise money for a worthy organization, inclusion is still missing.
Ordered, and ended up ordering a L; hopefully it will work on me. I’m excited, and quite happy to support the cause. Every year, here in Evanston IL, we do a Nasty Women exhibition/sale of artwork, where each piece is just $100 and all goes to PP. This year, we’ve moved it to October instead of our Evanston Made month (June). I can’t wait to donate my piece to the show, and can’t wait to wear my tee that evening!
Wish I could attend the event. Oh well. Ordered the tee and will wear with pride. (such an incredibly easy way to donate!!!)
It’s a shame the people depicted aren’t identified in the description. (Or anywhere?)
There are a couple of pieces with that print on the ZMC website, and some of the women are identified there. Check it out: https://www.zeromariacornejo.com/shop/dresses-and-tunics/long-sleeved-luca-dress?color=DUSK%2FGREIGE
Oh wow. Thanks, Kim. I want to go but am one of the shyer GOACAites…but/and I love the graphic, it’s arresting!
