I was born in Houston, Texas in 1964 and have lived in New York City since 1988. I had a long career in magazines, working at Sassy, Elle, New York, and Spin, and in 2000, I founded Lucky magazine, which I edited for ten years.

I especially like the episode on women’s anger, but maybe I shouldn’t listen right before bed. Feeling a lot of that women’s anger right now, with political crappé going on where I live, and being on lockdown within a lockdown a few days ago due a gun incident in my community, and the police chopper flying over my house for two hours (total elapsed lockdown 6.5 hours) and a police officer killed by thugs the day before. Things that happen about every two decades are all happening right now, right here. Couldn’t even walk the dog. Proving that 2020 had to kick us around a few more times before it left, then come back and kick us again in 2021. And our dumb politicians want to keep vaccines in freezers instead of arms. Ain’t goin’ nowhere, and don’t want to be here.
At least my house is partly repaired from the summer storm, even if most of the other houses look like a battle zone. That’s something.

The only change in the podcast I’d want is for the episodes run longer. You always leave me wanting more.
