I returned to the east coast Monday morning after a punishing red eye from Seattle—during which I slept not at all, and also contracted a nasty cold, which I know I should be grateful isn’t something far worse. Aside from that, the trip was great, if spectacularly rainy, and it provided me with an excellent opportunity to try out some intriguing new travel minis, including this diminutive razor, which I think I’ll be using at home from now on, because the shape makes it much easier to shave the tricky backside of your legs.
A quality sunscreen that goes on light and pretty invisible.
This product from Smashbox is my new favorite primer—it smooths skins and minimizes pores like nobody’s business, and it’s oil-free.
My skin gets so lackluster when I’m traveling, so I was delighted to find my favorite at-home peel, which always brings a brightness to my skin. Also, please do note that this travel size is a limited edition, and don’t delay if you’re at all interested.
This bronzer isn’t cheap (and it’s not technically a travel mini), but you just use the eensiest bit and it lasts forever. I mix it with my Kosas face oil, and it imparts a pleasingly subtle glow.
I looked in the mirror a few days ago and realized I look kind of dead. This is unusual for me, because I have lively coloring, but I’m also almost finished with grad school and at this pointI’m just always inside at a computer whether I want to be or not. I’ll try mixing one of those liquid bronzer samples I got but never even opened with facial oil and see how that works. Thanks for the tip!
Wowza! Being almost finished with grad school is so big! Go,girl, go!
The travel razor is very cute, but its link doesn’t work. New link, please and thank you?
Link fixed, apologies.
Mini razor has been my home razor for years now!
Welcome back! Look forward to hearing more about your adventure. I swear by Unseen Sunscreen and use Supergoop Play––I’m not sure what it does, but it makes me feel righteous to use it. Also a huge Drunk Elephant fan. And the bronzer which does, indeed, last forever. And a request that may not be obtainable…I’m looking for exercise tops that fit somewhat close, but are suitable for an “older body.” Can we please burn all the exercise tops that are CROPPED?!?!?!? And speaking of exercise…if you listen to the Deux Moi podcast the info on the Olsen twins and what they wear and drink for exercise classes had me literally laughing out loud.
Hurray, you’re back!! … … … Can you put a regular blades on the mini razor?
For some unknown reason that razor reminded me of the Flicker from the 70’s. Remember those? Thanks for the tip on the bronzer and welcome back.
I love that Milk bronzer. Sometimes I dot it on my cheekbones, nose, forehead, and chin and blend it out with a blush brush, and sometimes I mix it with my moisturizer and slather it all over my face. It’s nice and subtle. Welcome back! I hope the tour went well.
Welcome back!
How does the Supergoop compare in feel to the popular Biore or Niveasun sunscreens? (And is Supergoop associated with regular Goop?)
Nope, Supergoop is completely unrelated to Gwyneth’s Goop. Not sure how it compares to Biore or Nivea, but it has a clear, gel-like texture and I find it’s one of the only ones that doesn’t cause my skin to break out.
missed you, Kim! Glad you had a great trip!
Isn’t that mini razor just the cutest thing ever!?! Glad you’re back, even though I’ve got a lot of catching-up to do with blog reading. (life and parental care got in the way)
Supposedly Trader Joe’s has a cheaper dupe for that sunscreen, but they may not carry it year-round, which is a fail. Sunscreen is needed every day of the year.
Oh Yaaaaay! You’re back! I missed your posts so much – welcome back. I love that sunscreen- I really do but I also thought I should say something related to the post or else it is just weird. Just know how much I enjoy your posts. Thank you, Kim!
