I swear by this stuff

babyfacial

I’ve got weird, sensitive skin, and the notion of acid peels has always kind of scared me, but I am so trusting of Drunk Elephant products that I decided to give their T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial a shot, and I have to say, it is a miracle worker: my skin positively glows after I rinse it off. The instructions say to use it no more than twice a week, but I’m cautious and use it even less than that, because it is strong. It isn’t cheap, but I’m still on my first container of it and I’ve been using it for months.

I think everyone should have a bottle of this (unfortunately expensive) magical face mask! Preach!

The Drunk Elaphant C Firma serum is amazing. I bought the small trial size and had ordered a full one before it even ran out. Made my skin glowy and clear after just a couple of uses. Their stuff isn’t cheap but it is worth it. I’m using their Juju bat cleanser at the moment too and it’s a big thumbs up, really thoroughly cleans my face without stripping it in any way.

I got it gratis when I worked for Sephora and I have to say I love it. I got a small bottle and I made it last so what I would say is that if you use it once a week you can somewhat justify the price. When it is no longer coming out of the dispenser, take the top off and you will find a lot more product – you can get it out with a Q-tip. It made my skin glow as well. I would recommend following up with the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil if you really want to glow and moisturize. Its very light.

I’m a huge fan of the C Serum and the moisturizer. Been meaning to try their bars and this. Drunk Elephant’s formulations are top-notch and the packaging ensures the product won’t degrade as quickly. Which is good cuz this stuff is spendy!

Has anyone tried the babyfacial and had a negative reaction? I’m just curious because my skin is super, super sensitive, thinning somewhat and has some broken capillaries. I’ve tried some other supposedly great products, like retinol and vitamin C serums from the Ordinary, that have irritated my skin terribly.

You may want to try Marie Veronique. Samples are available for sale at places like Ayla Beauty (online). I have very sensitive skin as well, and can tolerate her retinol & vit C serums. Not cheap, but I love them. I don’t love the Ordinary’s retinol, which is all I’ve tried from the line. I haven’t tried Drunk Elephant yet.

I have rosacea and very sensitive skin; I haven’t had a problem with any DE products. If in doubt, if you visit a Sephora storefront, you can ask for a sample of any product which they will put into a little pot for you. Its usually enough for several applications to test how you’ll react.

I have very, very sensitive skin and I have been fine with the Babyfacial, I absolutely love it. I keep it on for the shortest recommended time (about 10 minutes) and I do get a little bit of redness, but it fades quickly and I’m left with amazingly soft skin.

You can get a sample at Sephora (they will make samples of any product!) if you want to test it before buying a bottle.

I thought I was the only one who had a bad reaction to The Ordinary products!

During a 2-week battle with the flu this past January, I spent a lot of time trolling Instagram and bought lots of clothes and skincare products. Started using the new stuff on February 1.

The Waste? The Ordinary Products were worthless. About 10 weeks using the Resveratrol, Glycolic Toner and Mandalic Acid. Products take time – I understand that. But honestly, I think the containers are just filled with water. They did NOTHING. It’s a good thing it just cost $35.

    The Worth Every Penny
Biologique Recherer mask and P50 Lotion.
WOW. Clearer, brighter, tighter (in a good way) skin. Glowy, dewy, etc. Honestly, it’s worth every penny. The products stink though. A combo of yeast and soy sauce.

Happy to hear the great reviews on the Elephant. I will have to buy and try!

Ive been slowly replacing all of my skincare with Drunk Elephant. The one thing Ive been afraid to try was this, so Im so glad you posted this today!
Tiffany the founder recommends mixing all of your steps together in the palm of your hand and applying all at once, and the thing I’ve found with this method is that not only do you use WAY less product, but the skin seems to adjust to the active ingredients in a less irritated way (if youre new to them)

I’m a big believer in the power of facial peels. The OTC brands have gotten so much better over the past few years. I love DE’s Baby Facial – It works!

I love this product and my only criticism is that the pump can be a bit hit or miss. I also have sensitive skin and I only use this once a week (I alternate with Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask), and I LOVE this.

The Marula oil that comes with itbis quite nice too

Do the other ingredients buffer the glycolic a bit? My skin can’t seem to handle glycolic, and using it leads to perioral dermatitis every time! The Ordinary’s Lactic acid, though, is rocking my world. From what I understand, the lactic is a bigger AHA molecule than glycolic, and that makes it do its AHA thing a bit more gently. Or maybe it’s just magic.

I’ve never tried anything from this brand but have heard wonders! I am very wary of masques as they tend to be too rough on my skln.
