I love this stuff: RMS lipstick

10

I’m all for natural beauty in theory, but in real life rarely choose to go that route: I always feel like the items in question just won’t do their job as well as the ones with helpful chemicals. But the other day, I was in the horribly-named-but-excellent Detox Market (they sell natural beauty products, but doesn’t the name make you think it’s all going to be about cleanses?) with my friend Andrea. While she made a return, I checked out the RMS lipstick, and tried this plummy color, called Russian Roulette. I thought it was very pretty, but also that it looked a lot like most of the lipsticks I already own, so I passed. And I went home, and the late morning turned to late afternoon, and at one point, I went to reapply lipstick before going out and it was still on. I have since purchased it, and can say that first time wasn’t a fluke: I don’t know what they’re putting in this stuff, but I’m pretty sure it’s magic.

kosas makes incredible natural lipstick – colors are on point! just wore some to a wedding. i like ilia too – it’s unoriginal to say but arabian knights is my every day color and it lasts for reals super pretty even as it fades! natural beauty is totally worth it, esp if you have an autoimmune disease like me and want to keep your hormones as balanced as possible. i only use products without endocrine disruptors, head to toe

      sally,
I agree and sadly many autoimmune diseases are undiagnosed.

kim, i would love to see more healthy beauty coverage here! if you need ideas, i have tried soooooo many things in my efforts to detox my collection in the past few years and it’s been super fun, actually. there are truly incredible products out there that won’t give your health a hit

I second your lipstick choices! I own every color by Kosas, they are amazing. The colors (best reds ever), the scent, the way they fade to a stain. And I also have Arabian Knights. We end up kind of eating our lipstick so I try to stick to all natural.

Ya’ know, I never really thought about those damned endocrine disrupters in beauty products as being a potential cause of some of the issues I’m going through, but it DOES give me pause.

I’m a huge Kosas fan, too, Sally – Lipcolor and cheek duos. And my Ilia Lip Conditioner in Bang Bang always gets me compliments.

I love both the Detox Market and RMS Beauty. Clean beauty is the way to go, especially because of the aforementioned endochrine disruptors. I find RMS performs as well as other non-clean beauty products and use quite a lot of the line (including the Beauty Oil which is a must up here in Toronto as soon as central heating goes on). The Detox Market also has my fave skincare products from Tata Harper which are on par with the most expensive ‘dirty’ products at high end department stores.

Tata Harper products have changed my skin! I was still breaking out on my chin and around my nose, even after menopause (one of the dirty secrets no one tells you) until I decided to try her skincare after my 40-something hair stylist walked in with a post-orgasmic glow and said it was all Tata Harper! (She does her hair and makeup for shoots & gets free stuff!) I’m breakout free and glowing, too! Haha! Or that could be my RMS lipstick in “Rapture”!

I am currently obsessed with RMS and have been slowly replacing all of my makeup with RMS products. They work beautifully and last and are at a reasonable price point and worth every penny.

Me too – love RMS. Have bronzer, eye shadow, un-cover up, and several luminizers. Lurv
