I still, at my advanced age, have kind of oily skin, and because of that have a tough time making eye makeup stay on my face for any duration of time at all. So I picked up this eyeshadow primer from Urban Decay in the impulse-purchases aisle as you’re checking out at Sephora. And I’m so glad I did: I don’t usually wear eyeshadow but I do wear liner, and I just apply a little before I put that on, and it—rather amazingly—stays put all day.
I did a comparison with the Urban Decay Primer Potion one one eye and the NARS Smudge Proof Eye Shadow Base on the other, and while both did equally well at keeping my shadow from creasing on my hooded oily lids, the NARS one kept the colors from fading a smidge better.
Of course it’s gotta say, “Anti-aging,” right?😉
I’ve also used this product for years and love it!
This has been in my bag of tricks since I found the original one in the mid to late 90s. Not a fan of the wand (you used to just squeeze it onto your fingertip) but have learned to live with it.
Thank you for posting this. I use an Urban Decay 24 hour liner which it’s anything BUT. I’m often left with melting eye liner especially when I’ve been wearing a mask and my breath increases the humidity around my eyes. If anyone is familiar with the “two face” Seinfeld episode where Elaine is waiting at H&H bagel and the steam cuts loose, that’s my face an hour after putting on my makeup.
Thanks! I have the same problem. I’ll get this.
I so agree. In fact I am on my second tube which is a first for me and primer products. Love that it isn’t white going on.
I’ve used this for years. It has a nice sheen. It is nice to have eyeshadow that doesn’t look fussy or slide off. I use Avon’s eye makeup remover (like a cold cream) to remove it.
